Math Science Explore Develop More

All my life I have liked Math. This might be a bit shocking especially since I never had the highest grade in Math. The reason why I like Math so much is that it has the potential to show us just about how small we are, it can show us, better than any scientific journal, how big space is, and how much of our lives get affected by it.

Closely related to my passion for Mathematics is Science. Although Science is a big field, it all comes down to one big concept, being able to question our own assumptions and being able to develop beyond them by putting our knowledge to practice. Everyone can read a novel and claim that they can do the things discussed in such but how many of those people actually push themselves to?

After telling you that two of my passions are Math and Science, it's no surprise that I also like exploring. I love putting my assumptions to the test and being able to know whether I was right or wrong and how can I prove them. Unlike many people, I do not believe myself to be perfect thus I acknowledge that I will have wrong assumptions and be flat-on wrong. So I am not afraid to admit so and even apologize when necessary. This is why exploring the thing I take for granted is such an important life skill and something I try to exercise.

Something I also believe to be essential is being able to develop as a person. I believe that nothing is more rewarding than picking up a book or an article, learning something new--that might go against your biases--and being able to incorporate it and even explore it. This is essential because with the rise of social media, we are getting trap in an echo chamber which only echos our own beliefs and our own personal biases but that does not question us. This is troublesome because this takes away our ability to connect with individuals who share different ideologies.

Quick Note

Most of my projects are built and live locally. The reason I spend time coding projects is just as a way to teach myself how to develop intricate designs. This means that you will notice similarities between some of my projects and things you have seen before. My ideas do not aim to copy other ideas to make a profit but to provide a learning opportunity for myself.

I'm currently a student at Hunter College studying Computer Science. I have spent a significant part of my life learning how to sail and drive powerboats. I am both New York State Boating Safety Certified, and a Basic Keelboat Instructor certified by US Sailing.
